January 28, 2012 and February 4, 2012 In partnership with the Houston Food Bank and "Souper Bowl of Caring," this council-wide service project begins Saturday, January 28 as Scouts distribute door hangers in their neighborhoods to announce the upcoming food drive. Scouts return the following Saturday to pick up and deliver donations to local food banks. Sign up for Scouting for Food and report your collections here.

All of the food the Tall Timbers District collects will stay in the South Montgomery County Area. The plan is to distribute door hangers to your area on Saturday, January 28th and return to the same area on Saturday, February 4th, collect any food people place on their porch (or ring their door bell and ask) and deliver to our collection site.
Before dropping off your collection, please count the number of individual boxes (Mac & Cheese, crackers, etc) and the number of individual cans (green beans, corn, etc.) for accurate reporting.
DROP OFF LOCATION AND TIME WILL BE AT THE INTERFAITH PANTRY or THE LDS CHURCH FROM 1:00 - 3:00 PM

The 1-3pm window is the only time we will be able to accept food donations on behalf of Scouting for Food.
