Ordeal Clan SashPurposeIn the recent history of the Ordeals program in Colonneh Lodge, a core group of youth and adults have run the Ordeals from every level – from elangomats to ceremonialists to Ordeal Masters. Ordeals is one of the most important yet underappreciated programs in Colonneh Lodge. Those youth that go above and beyond by growing in the Ordeals program and subsequently contributing to its growth should be rewarded for their unselfish service to the newest members of the Lodge.
We believe that the recognition that these youth deserve is embodied in the Ordeal Clan Sash. Unlike existing clan sashes, this award is for the common arrowman – the Ordeal member. It is intended as a starting point, a place where every arrowman has something to contribute. Within Ordeals, new members can discover their interests, whether it be through service, ceremonies, dance, or camping promotion. After earning this award, youth can continue on, earning those clan sashes that they have interest in.
RequirementsElangomat Requirements
- Complete Elangomat Training
- Be an Elangomat at three Ordeals
- 50% of one of your clans seal their membership by obtaining Brotherhood
- Be a staff member at an ordeal holding a position no lower than an Assistant Service or Program Master
