Presented for outstanding unit service. The award may be presented to several unit leaders as determined by the District Award Nomination Committee. The recognition will be a plaque
Nominations:
- Anyone may nominate a person for this award
- Nominations must be submitted to the District Recognition Chairman by the start of the December District Roundtable Meeting
- Fill out the District Nomination form. Additional information may be attached.
- A photo attached is optional but helpful.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a registered Scouter in the George Strake District Recommended:
- Led the unit to receive the national Camping Award of Summertime Pack Award or the National Den Award.
- Led the unit in a minimum of one week long Summer Camp or a Cub Scout Day Camp experience
- Has a yearly unit planning session, an active unit committee and ensure the unit attends District events
- Provided for a yearly Troop Leadership Training Conference (if Boy Scout Leader)
- Earned the Basic Training Award Knot
- Earned the Quality Unit Award
