This award was designed to recognize unsung Scouters in low profile positions, whose efforts and dedication reflected a unselfish spirit and attitude. Prior to 2009, when our units were part of the George Strake District, the Spirit of Scouting Award was named after a Scouter, Lee Roy Golson, who meant so much to the George Strake District.
The recognition will be a special award and a gold acorn hanging from a purple ribbon.
Nominations:
- Anyone can place a Scouter into nomination.
- Nominations must be submitted to the District Recognition Chairman by the start of the December District Roundtable Meeting
- Fill out the District Nomination form. Additional information may be attached.
- A photo attached is optional but helpful.
